Aww..Happy new year everyone!
Sleep. I haven't had my beauty sleep for days, or to be specific, weeks. Lately it has always been way pass midnight by the time I crawl into my pool of pillows. Even if I managed to have forty winks during the day, it didn't quite help. I need to get back on track. I need to sleep on time. I don't want my beautician to tell me that I didn't have enough of sleep on every visit of my facial appointment.
New year resolution. Hmm. I am quite dumbfounded by the fact that I have forgotten to make my new year wish. I used to do it on every new year eve. Gosh. Too busy I guess. We were all at the jetty, all in a mess as we weren't quite sure which time to follow, but we did manage to slot in the countdown session though. 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...Happy new year! That was fun. Being able to spend my 2009 eve with such a bunch of friends were my pleasure. Not only they were helpful, they were just so entertaining! Especially the naked chef a.k.a my angel no.3. A special thanks to Joe, Kee Wai, Win and June Siang. You guys have been standing by the barbecue pit whole night! What a sweet breakaway for all of us before we start the new year with our colossal task - to pass CLP. I particularly love the moment when we propose D toast to everyone in the room. Love it.
Mamma mia was fantastic. If I were asked to choose between the movie and the musical, I prefer the movie. Well, I love plays and musicals but maybe I went for the movie before the musical. So subconsciously I would have compared both. But I should have given credit to the cast as the space on stage was so limited. They have tried their best to maximise the space they're given. Good show I would say.
I started my first day of 2009 with much amazement. I was flabbergasted by the fact that I've been pretty lucky to be able to meet Tun Dr. Mahathir and even shook his hand! What a seat I've chosen to sit at. I couldn't describe further how lucky I am, to be able to meet 2 Tuns within weeks! Try tracing how many Tuns are there in our country and you'll be able to understand how lucky I felt. Oh, by the way, the other Tun I've met and had dinner with was Tun Dr. Lim Keng Yaik, our former minister of Energy, Water and Telecommunications.
We went supper after Mamma mia. Dad brought us to Soo Kee for Cantonese style mee if I'm not mistaken. But they're famous for their beef keow teow. Ish~ I can't try. Grace said it's nicer than the other. Something precedented but eventually turned out to be phenomenal happened soon after we finished our meal. I really got to go now, it'll be reveal in my next post.
