.platonic relationships.
Recalling the days when I first talked about this topic. Today, I am here to recapitulate. In a nutshell, platonic relationships involve two individuals of the opposite sex who shares a non-romantic relationship, nor are they sexually involved. But, at times, crosses the boundaries of friendship. In essence, they care for each other more than just a mere friend. I'm truly blessed to have two of them in my life, who never hesitate to be there to care whenever I shed tears. I loathe them at times for bullying me to some point, but I love them for being around to support me. A special thanks to Hang and Randy.
Impromptu gratefulness? Nope.
It all started during my convo, when I was contemplating who should I be inviting. I came to a point where I should just stick to my family and college friends. But, not known to many, I actually hoped that Hang and Randy were both present. Talking about our friendship, we did went through a lot. Hope you both won't mind me spilling a little of our friendship. I know you won't. Ha.
I knew Hang when I was 15. Sleepy-head is his official nick. A blur-looking lad with a smart ass. I hate that. He can pass his maths even sleeping through classes! @#$%^&* We were partners-in-crime. We enter classes late, we love extending our breaks despite being shooed by prefects, we love loitering around school with no apparent reasons, sometimes during studying hours. How we did it? We just managed to. Now that he's in Australia, he made me curse him a lot. Curse in a good sense. How? We know how. Ha. Well, I'm happy that we still keep in touch often, though not as much as we used to in the good old days. But, sometimes I was held incommunicado, and I will not forgive you for that, Mr.Hang!
Randy. Mr.Beh. 15 years. 15 years of friendship. A person who knows the lachrymose me since he was 8. Guess there will not be an end to tell the story of how we both became friends. An unending friendship that will last for a life-time. I secretly think that I should thank him for my slightly long legs and massive feet. He made me run around school too much that I could no longer recall the details. :) Too much we have been through and many experiences spent. To treasure every bit of them is my ineluctable task. Hopefully you won't make United States your home in future, as I will be there to strangle you. *ganas*
Sceptical I was, when I embarked on such friendship. Who said a girl and a boy can't share close relationships? Here we are, the best of friends. Blessed and grateful for having each other. Ok, I'm getting real emotional here. Haha. I better get going, people at home are dying of starvation already while I'm procrastinating. Dinner time!
In short, cheers to our ever-lasting platonic relationship! Stop bullying me or I'll regret this post.
