.spend wisely.

"It is said that when America sneezes, the rest of the world will catch a cold. Now, America is sick and the rest of the world 'could end up in the intensive care unit if no steroid injection is given urgently.'"

The Americans have such immense influence on the Asian market. The current economic turmoil had occurred years ago but the severity of a global financial meltdown has yet to be fully played out. And unfortunately, many Malaysians have not taken cognisance of how severe this economic tsunami can be.

Perhaps, the older generation are well aware of the current economic turmoil, but sadly, many youngsters might not be able to apprehend this dreadful situation. Capital preservation is what the general public should be concern about. Parents might start stinging on expenses, yes, my parents have started. The sight of many showering shopping centres is just a mere illusion. More often than not, people are there to enjoy the free air-conditioning! Hmm...

As mentioned latter, despite the foreseeable recession, there are youngsters who ain't aware and yet has no intention to put a curb on spending. Maybe they're just being sceptical of it, ie. the recession. Something I would call...phenomenal has been happening for the past few months, which many has agreed upon. Branded bags. Being observant, like any other girls out there, young people these days carries branded bags. It seems everyone on the street has at least a branded tote. Maybe they're just rich, or is it a feng shui thingy for everyone to flash their bags now since the economic tsunami is intruding? Hmm...

Well, Joe thinks that I'm being far too pessimistic. Maybe he's right? The storm is predicted and I hope Malaysia is in great shape to weather the storm. Guess the only drawback that might heat things up is the political play that should be sorted out as soon as possible.

Please, whatever feng shui is needed, do put them in place. I've given up my favourite stress-relief route, and I desperately need my shopaholic urge back. I can tolerate the recent shopping ban but please don't make it last for years! Foong Jin, you're not alone.
